PARKER STATION Pinot Noir 2005
designation: N/A
vineyard: N/A
region: California - Central Coast

Inexpensive great Pinot does not exist. You are fooling yourself if you are drinking any of that under $10 stuff and saying "this is good, I really like this wine". That said, this wine from Fess Parker’s second label comes pretty close to being great Pinot Noir. Strong aromas precede a core of cherry giving way to the raspberry and a little sizzle from the 15.1% octane on the lips. Do not let these attributes scare you; wade on in and you will be rewarded by the honest projection of this wines capability. Chimchurri marinated Grilled Pork Tenderloin was a perfect match for this wine, as would be any highly seasoned Salmon and rich fowl dish (MDME).
