PREVAIL (Back Forty) Cabernet Sauvignon 2003
designation: Back Forty
vineyard: RockRise Mountain
region: California - Sonoma
review date:
2007-03-25

The Prevail Mountain Estate Winery "Back Forty" 2003 is a powerhouse wine that represents Alexander Valley at its best. Deep ruby in color, this wine has concentrated ripe aromas of blackberry, black currant and spice. Dense and full-bodied, the subtle mocha nuances complement the distinct and pronounced layered flavors of raspberry, black licorice and black current; pleasant midpalate followed by an alluring dusty tannin finish. Overall, an exceptionally structured Bordeaux-styled wine with an abundance of opulent character and uniqueness (PH).

Score: 92 | Ratings Value: $80.00 ABV: 14.9%
