RODNEY STRONG Merlot 2002
designation: N/A
vineyard: N/A
region: California - Sonoma
review date:
2007-01-20

This wine evokes all that represents classic Sonoma county Merlot; juicy, ripe, fruit-forward flavors acquired while basking lazily in the warm California sun. These grapes had no struggle at all for survival and that flavor is reflected in their character. Smooth refined mouth-feel, this is a sexy wine that offers lush opulence at a price point that won't break the bank. The balance of spice and fruit hits high marks and the plush long finish makes this a wine to seek out. Versatility with culinary parings is enormous and if there was ever a wine that tastes as good with food as it does by itself, this is it (MDME).
