BELVEDERE Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
designation: N/A
vineyard: Healdsburg Ranches
region: California - Sonoma
review date:
2006-12-07

An awesome Cabernet; a real sleeper that came into its own just this year. I tasted this wine last year and it was good; it has crossed into new territory and now should be considered great. Dark colored fruit with a powerful rich nose; opening flavors confirm the intensity of the fruit exhibited in the nose. Big chocolate and smooth tobacco flavors assault the mid-palate spreading widely and pleasurably. Finishing slowly with a silky texture and a lingering need for just one more taste.
