First -I stumbled across your web site --wow -- first impressions are pretty good.   Wondering how long you have been up (no one had mentioned site on WS or CT forum (wine spec  or cellar tracker)  --so I did.

OK - back to WIKI's -- any way we can build in WIKI support for maps on wine sites - so users can add comments and points on which wineries are not to be missed in traveling ... etc ...

I am a super newbie for your site - but the summary vintage chart and maps .... oh you know my weaknesses ....

Hey Greg!  Thanks for joining our forum and thanks so much for the compliments and promoting our site!!!

Enobytes has been around for a while – we did consulting services for the wine and restaurant industry in the San Francisco area back in the 90's. Since then, we've evolved. In 2006, we built the site and expanded our services to educate and share our passion and knowledge of wine and food with our readers across the globe.

By the way, we LOVE new ideas and requirements! Could you go into a little more detail about what you are looking for with the WIKI – I'm all for it so I'd like to understand exactly what you are looking for so we can make it happen.

I THINK what you want is something like this scenario:
From this map page: http://enobytes.org/google-map-california-paso-robles.html
You want the ability for users to add comments like you would a blog? Sort of like what we did for the vintage chart? http://enobytes.org/wine_blog/2008/01/04/the-vintage-chart-debate/

Or are you thinking about something different than this? Maybe you could point me to a URL that has something similar to what you want/need.

Also, as an FYI, what's really cool about the Google Earth maps is that any user can add a review or comment. So once you open a google earth wine map, (the .kmz file) click on one of our wine icons, then a window appears with winery information. Then click on more info>>which will take you to a page that looks like this:

From there, you can add your own comments! And if we've reviewed their wines you will see at the top of the page. Click on it and it will take you to the Enobytes page with the wine reviews.

If you have other ideas, throw them our way!
